Wellness & Arts Class
Our Wellness and Art Class integrates creativity, mindfulness, and healthy eating. This class can be adapted for adults or teens and is ideal for community centers, wellness retreats, or educational programs.

Our Wellness & Arts class nurtures creativity, healthy habits, independence, and social connection within a welcoming and inclusive environment. Each session brings together a small group of participants, guided by one or two dedicated facilitators.

The class begins with a grounding routine that includes reviewing a visual schedule and engaging in calming activities such as gentle stretching, chair yoga, or mindful breathing with sensory objects. This helps set a relaxed tone and ease participants into the session.

Next, participants explore a hands-on creative art activity, working on accessible projects like painting, collage, beading, or sculpting with clay or dough. Each activity is supported with clear, step-by-step visual guides that emphasize self-expression and choice-making.

Following the art portion, the group shifts to preparing a healthy snack or light meal using simple, interactive recipes—such as yogurt parfaits, veggie wraps, smoothies, or mini pita pizzas. This segment incorporates picture-based recipe cards, pre-measured ingredients, and both visual and verbal prompts to support sequencing, engagement, and food safety.

After preparing their food, participants share a mindful eating experience in a relaxed, social setting. This time fosters conversation, gratitude, and the use of communication supports.
The session concludes with a reflection period, where participants are invited to share their artwork or favorite moments from the day, encouraging confidence, community, and self-awareness.
